Where to start
- Read about us, the Poetic Authoring community, the Poetic Publishing Company, and a bit about this wiki.
- If you have decided that you would like to join this community, apply for a new account.
- Look over Help:Contents for a quick overview on editing and posting, or...
- Browse and discuss works of writing, music, visual media, and other art.
- Search for an author, topic, or content using the search box on the sidebar
- View and edit the community pages -> Community Portal
- Build your author page -> type ctrl-. or click your username at the top of the page
- View recently modified pages -> Recent Changes
- Check the current events -> Current events
- Propose or write on interesting articles or needed help documents.
- Commission a work for your publication or art for your home.
- Read and discuss topics on the forums

Choose your Poetic Authoring community role
Poetic Authoring contributors take on many different roles within the community. Avid readers are needed just as much as writers, editors, and literary agents.
You can participate 'as you wish' within the community. Some common community roles:
- Writer/Author/Artist
- Reader/Reviewer/Audience
- Critic/Peer
- Editor
- Literary Agent
- Publisher

Helpful Hints
- Create new pages by creating new links. Click on your new link to edit your new page.
- Editing your user page -> Click on your username at the top of the page.
- View the help page for editing pointers. -> Help
- Organize things how you would like and try to interrellate your work with others using category and community pages.
- Each page has a discussion tab. Use this feature to discuss posted content.
- Use the editing buttons to learn the wiki syntax for links and images.
- Post a piece of written work. Make sure to let your reviewers know what your intent is.
- When writing poetry, use the "<poem> your poetry </poem>" markup tags to retain all line breaks and spaces.
